Thanks for writing us with your question.

The hymen is a membrane found at the entrance to the vagina that, in most women has a small opening that allows menstrual blood to flow through and out of the body. There are a few things that you need to know about the hymen and virginity

First, in some women who are virgins, there is no hymen. Either there never was one or it has been ruptured by one of several means other than sexual intercourse. The hymen can be broken:

Second, while having a hymen does indicate virginity, if there is no hymen, that does not mean the woman is not a virgin.

Finally, bleeding does not always occur when a woman virgin has sex for the first time, so blood on the sheet may not be present.

To answer your questions quickly, no she does not always bleed during her first time having sex. The only way to know if she is a virgin is to ask her. Yes, you could examine her prior to engaging in sex, but, realistically, it isn't exactly romantic and, more than likely, she won't let you do look at her with a flashlight and anatomy book in hand! Plus, she would probably not let you take her to a doctor for an examination.
An indication that she might be a virgin is that she is tight and will feel tight to both you and her. Thus, take your time and make sure that she is well lubricated. Let her make the moves to minimize your and her discomfort.
