Playing with Food
So, you and your partner want to spice things up a bit with some delightful edibles! While most things can be used in the pursuit of pleasure, there are a few not-so-pleasant things to remember!
Chocolate...nummy!

Food has long ben considered an essential aspect of fertility and procreation. In the past, couples who had difficulty conceiving were encouraged to eat eggs or bulbs (onions) believing that these contained sexual energy. Think about the phallic shape of a banana and the shape of an oyster to the vulva! Additionally, the scent of vanilla, licorice, mustard, and nutmeg have been associated lust and desire. Sadly, very little research has been conducted that shows if any particular food significantly affects desire.
People have often wondered if they could change they way their body fluids tastes by eating certain foods. While there is nothing that will change the taste of semen to chocolate (damn), you will become what you eat. Playing with food can be fun, but there can be some problems associated with it.
If you want to play with food, think about being able to stimulate all of your senses - sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. Ask youir partner what he or she would enjoy sensually. For example, consider champagne. The bubble can tickle the nose and mouth, but what about the rest of the body. If you 'paint' bubbly onto your partner's skin, it can generate several unique feelings. So, use your imagination when playing with food, but remember there are some 'rules' that must be followed.
For example, each person's tolerance for hot and cold will vary. If a particular sensation is too much, back off and ry something different or use something that is not quite a cold or warm. Another example is avoid using oily or sugary foods below the waist. Oils may cause latex to break down - yep, it may cause your condom to fail. Sugar in warm, moist areas encourages the growth of yeast and bacteria. With that in mind, let's talk about specifics in fun with food.

To begin, you might want to consider the senses - all of them, including sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. There can be a lot of erotic play sense-wise when you include food. For example, the sight of whipped cream covering your favorite parts waiting to be licked off, the touch of a tongue caressing the body while enjoying the smell and taste of the delectable treats. You could start by could start by feeding your lover strawberries, dipped in chocolate or dripping with champagne, or teasing her or his body with frewsh fruit just prior to eating it Alas, beware the allergy. Before indulging your appetites, ask, if you don't already know, if your partner is allergic to any foods and avoid them lest you want to call 9-1-1 or trek to the emergency department in a hurry. In case you are not aware or have forgotten the signs or symptoms of a severe allergic reation, they are: |

Using food as a phallus... If you are thinking about inserting a food item vaginally or rectally, remember, if it goes in, it's got to come out. Anything inserted vaginally, needs to be big enough to easily retrieve. Inserting grapes, cherries, cockgtail sausages and the like is not a good idea. If you are using a cucumber other item for anal play, make sure it has a wide base or something to keep it from slipping all the way inside the rectum. Additionally, if you are using using a HUGE cucumber, take it slow and easy with plent of lube. If you want to use your new-found toy for something to eat, you may want to apply a condom to the cucumber before the sex play. Sugar and spice and... Using anything suite or sugary or anything oily should be reserved for areas above the waist. Suite substances such as honey, maple syrup, or chocolagte syrup can encourage the growth of yeast and cause yeast infections. Oily substances can break down latex including condoms causing them to break more easily. In addition, oils can trap bacteria when you don't want them. Bacterial infections may more easily develop since oils are difficult to wash off. Be cautious where you use spices. Pepper, clove, cinnamon, peppermint, and other spices can be irritating to tender tissues. Be especially careful with cinnamon oil and be ready to rinse, and rinse, and rinse some more if it starts to burn. And, yes, those nasty chemical burns tend to put a damper on the raging hormones! |

Speaking of sweets... If you have ever thought of using whipped cream as a delightful topping for your lover's body, enjoy. YOu may have to act fast after slathering on the whipped cream since it starts to 'melt' at room temperature. Like we said above, do not use sweets below the waist. And, NEVER, EVER insert the nozzle of the whipped cream canniser into the vagina and 'press the trigger.' The results could be worse than gently blowing into her vagina...it could cause what is known as an air embolism that could be fatal.Otherwise... Have a great time, but be prepared to clean up the mess. You just might want to use old sheets or plenty of towels. If not, you might have to put up with stained sheets.
Happy munching! |
